*Please note that the application cycle for 2024 has closed. We plan to reopen applications in early 2025.

About: The Stanford Center for Digital Health (CDH) aims to support innovative research at the intersection of health and technology to advance digital health in a way that is scientifically rigorous and ethically sound.

CDH Student & Trainee Travel Award: The Stanford Center for Digital Health is offering awards up to $1,000 to support travel for Stanford graduate students, residents, and postdoctoral fellows giving oral presentations on topics related to digital health at scientific conferences. CDH’s goal for these awards is to support students' and trainees’ participation in academic conferences, providing them with opportunities to develop their public speaking skills, network with like-minded peers, disseminate information about their research, and continue their learning in areas that could positively affect their research.

Eligibility: To be eligible for the award, applicants must be currently enrolled at Stanford in a graduate program, residency program, fellowship program or post-doctoral program. Applicants must be accepted to give an oral presentation at a scientific meeting. Funding will be granted only upon proof of an acceptance notification to present at an academic conference. It is strongly recommended to apply at least one month before conference travel begins.

Requirements: The applicant’s research must be related to digital health, broadly defined (i.e. artificial intelligence, telemedicine, medical devices, etc.). Research that is interdisciplinary in nature is encouraged. Travel award recipients must acknowledge the Stanford Center for Digital Health in the poster/presentation and in any future publications that may arise from this research. Travel award recipients will provide a copy of their presentation and a photo of them presenting at the conference, which may be shared on the CDH website and social media channels. Travel award recipients will be asked to attend at least one CDH event within one year of receiving the travel award.

Acknowledgment of support: Please use the following wording in both the presentation and any future scientific publications: “This work was supported in part by the Stanford Center for Digital Health.”

Award amount: Awards up to, and no greater than, $1,000 may be granted to cover expenses related to conference travel. Qualifying expenses include conference registration fees, flights, and accommodations within university guidelines.

The application cycle for 2024 has closed. Please check back in January 2025.
